A Must Read!!!  Jan 22, 2014
"Coffee With Jesus" is the most interesting devotional book that I have read in a long time. It is 52 weeks of Poetry leading into a devotional that honors and Praises our Savior. I look forward to each Monday over my Coffee and Breakfast to open the devotional book and reading the Poetry and devotional scripture that it pertains too.it leads me to dig deeper in HIS word and I have a closer walk with HIM. I encourage everyone to buy a copy today and be Blessed. I am looking forward to more books by Ms. Lucinda Berry Hill!!    "Anita Miller Ashley"

Reviewed by Mary Jackson of the Mary Reader blog site:   I started reading Lucinda's poems on facebook from time to time she will post one on my wall under one of my posts. I was so happy when she asked me to review a copy of her book. Each week Lucinda has wrote a poem and has scripture with it, what a great devotion to read each morning. It is so encouraging. You will love this book, each morning you can just sit and read the poem and scripture and then listen. While you are enjoying your coffee.
I hope that you all will pick up a copy of this very encouraging book to enjoy each morning.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.

From Gregory A Booker:  The book is basically made up a poem for each week and a supporting scripture that may have inspired her to write the poem. The synergy between the poem and the scripture was good and fitting for the subject bible verses chosen. I have to applaud her poetic writing skills because of the fresh and uniquely different message in each. The author's ability to write 52 poems that are quite varied in subject, rhyme and style always kept my interest. As a writer of poems myself, I say her talent is evident in poetry.

There are no real negatives except maybe better formatting of the poems because some of them used very little wording on a given page.

I give it a thumbs up and recommended reading primarily just to experience the author's joy in the Lord. It can also be motivating to others

Pastor Jimmy Reagan of the Reagan Review:

Here is a book to aid with your devotions. It is written by Lucinda Berry Hill and published by West Bow Press. It is designed to be used over the course of 52 weeks. You have an original poem by Mrs. Hill and a corresponding Scripture. Obviously, this isn’t made to be the whole of your devotions, but a supplement to it. She wants to bring inspiration to your devotions.

Not every one gets into poetry I know. Others find great inspiration in it and have favorites from the years. If you enjoy poetry at all, I recommend this book to you. I met Mrs. Hill on social media and she is always a kind, encouraging person there. The book comes with scriptural and topical indexes as well to help you find something for the occasion. She has been writing poetry for years that has been read on special occasions and even run in the newspaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coffee with JesusSeptember 18, 2012
This review is from: Coffee With Jesus: 52 weeks of inspiration (Paperback)
Coffee with Jesus by Lucinda Berry Hill is a great book to read and have at hand. Consisting of 52 poems intended to be read one per week, with brief concomitant Scripture readings, I found Ms Hill's poems to be simple in nature but highly inspirational, well-written and laid out in very readable format. Speaking directly to the heart, for me the top poems were (1) God's Emergency Kit, (2) Home to Stay, (3) Do it, (4) A Loaf is a Loaf is a Loaf, and (5) Answering the Call. I highly recommend this book for daily or weekly devotional reading.

I started reading Lucinda's poems through emails and loved them. Each week she'd share a new one and it would touch my heart. I loved the way she put a passage of Scripture with each poem and the insights she shared about those certain verses. When she decided to make a book out of her poems, I was very excited for her. God has given her a gift at expressing thoughts that encourage, inspire, and challenge one's spirit. I think everyone should have the joy of reading this book.

I got my book, and I LOVE IT ¢¾ It is such an inspiring book, and it has been a comfort to me in my devotions each morning. I read the same one each morning for a week, that way it lasts the entire year; however, doing the same one each morning gives me time to really reflect on it and take it in. That may not be how some use it, but I think since there is devotions for each week - it was only feasible for me to concentrate on one devotion each day of the week for 7 days, then move on to the next one. You are truly blessed by God to have written this book, and I believe it will surely enrich many lives.

Lynda F. Sturdevant says:

I found Coffee With Jesus to be very refreshing and an inspiration for my day. Thank you Lucinda for sharing your precious gift of poetry and insight into God.

I recently asked and received a review from an advertising and publishing company. Here it is:

The word choices are appealing and reflect an inspirational ambiance.
The sentences are well structured. More than that, the varying lengths of the poems break up the book nicely.
I love the topical index in the back of the book, as well as the scripture index.

There is a good sense of structure to this book of poetry, which makes it appealing for a wide-range of readers.
